Ten years after the "Mission [Space x Art]" at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, in conjunction with the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (2025), this special exhibition explores the origins of the world and the invisible world through a collaboration between art and areas of science including space and quantum. In addition to space research by scientists and space-oriented works by artists, this exhibition will also feature the first artwork created using a Japanese quantum computer, showcasing new possibilities for expression in the quantum realm, where time and space exhibit mysterious behaviors. Art has always played an important role in exploring beyond boundaries. As space travel becomes more common and quantum research heads into the next century, this exhibition of diverse installations and XR exhibits will explore the efforts of creators following the trials of pioneers to expand the realm of expression. Through talk events held throughout the exhibition, including dialogues between researchers and artists, visitors can explore their own "quantum-native" creative ideas.
