Isao Takahata
The year 2025 marks a significant milestone as the 90th anniversary of Isao Takahata’s birth. It also commemorates 80 years since the end of the Pacific War, an event that profoundly influenced Takahata's life.

Organized with the cooperation of Studio Ghibli, the exhibition will feature a special focus exhibit on Grave of the Fireflies.

The teaser visuals highlight a dual focus: Grave of the Fireflies alongside Heidi, Girl of the Alps, one of Takahata’s early masterpieces that remains widely celebrated. Additionally, the exhibition is scheduled to tour in Paris, France, in the fall of 2025.

This exhibition aims to offer a renewed opportunity to appreciate the techniques and philosophies Takahata cultivated in the works prior to joining Studio Ghibli, as well as the films made at Studio Ghibli.
