MMM (Maison des Musées du Monde)

MMM has its origin in MMF (Maison des Musées de France), which was established in 2003 as a joint project between RMN (Réunion des Musées Nationaux) and DNP (Dai Nippon Printing Co.). Ten years after its foundation, MMF reopened afresh in May 2013, under the new name “MMM (Maison des Musées du Monde ) “, expanding the fields of information and goods it offers, based on its ten-year experience.
MMF was one of “DNP’s cultural activities” and its motto had been “to offer art in everyday life”. It had provided information on museums in France, as well as exhibited and sold their official museum goods.
MMF’s activities to link art with life were more or less confined within the French territory. The newly born MMM aims to cross the border and offer information on the “World’s (le Monde)” museums, at the same time exhibit and sell museum goods from all over the world. Furthermore, it will tighten its link with the “Ginza Graphic Gallery (ggg)”, a gallery situated next to MMM that presents worldwide graphic designs: MMM will now give information on the world’s active graphic designers and introduce and sell their art goods as well.
MMM (Maison des Musées du Monde) will strive to multiply the encounters of the world’s art and design with everyday life.
